Memorial Pathway

The Memorial Pathway at Guide Dogs of the Desert was created by volunteers from the USS Cleveland and the USS Pearl Harbor. It was the vision of long-time volunteer Carl Eadens who comes to our school twice a week to make sure our grounds are beautiful. Engraved marble plaques honoring loved ones are placed all along this tranquil walking path that winds around the school.

Planned Giving

Now you can support Guide Dogs of the Desert’s legacy of raising heroes to support the blind while leaving your own legacy in the process! Leave money, property, or other assets to GDD in your will without affecting your cash flow or assets in your lifetime. Shop at your favorite grocery store and help Guide Dogs of the Desert at no cost to you!

Every time you shop at Ralphs or Albertsons Grocery store they will generously donate a percentage of your purchases (up to 4%) to Guide Dogs of the Desert. All members currently enrolled will need to re-enroll in the new campaign starting September 1st, 2009. Please use Guide Dogs of the Desert NPO #84848 when you register. Click here for instructions. Help Guide Dogs of the Desert earn up to 5% on qualifying household purchases.

You will need a Community Rewards Card. Contact Patti Wheeler at Pwheeler@gddca.org and she will send you a card. You will need to register the card at the following link.

If you are a new online customer, you must click on GET STARTED, SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘Create An Account’ section. If you already have an account, login with your existing login/password information.

After you create your online account, then link your account with Guide Dogs of the Desert by editing your Community rewards information on your profile page

You must swipe your registered Community Rewards Card when shopping for each purchase to count.

For those of you that don’t have the ability to register your Rewards Card online, please download this pdf, print and take it, along with your Rewards Card to the Food4Less store and they will register your card for you.
